The Dixmont Cemetery, located in Kilbuck, Pennsylvania, has a rich history dating back to the 1860s. It was established in 1863 and named after Dorothea Dix, known as the Dixmont Hospital for the Insane. The cemetery was designed to provide a final resting place for patients of the hospital. Digitized Gravestone Documents
The gravestone documents provide information about the patients buried at the Dixmont State Hospital Cemetery. The document includes the patients gravestone number, along with their first and last name, their date of birth and death, their age, gender, and hometown location. This was previously found in physical books, but have now been digitized to make it easier for people to search for their loved ones.

Dixmont Cemetery Cleanup Day 2024
This event was organized with the purpose of cleaning up the long-abandoned Dixmont Cemetery. A group of 35 volunteers gathered on a Saturday morning to offer assistance in creating a more peaceful resting place for those who are laid to rest there. The collaborative efforts proved to be highly effective, resulting in the removal of fallen trees, branches, overgrown vegetation, and debris from the cemetery grounds. The event was coordinated by Hailey McClain.
